Smiley is the sweetest little Terrier ever! We found him at a County shelter and were charmed by his big toothy grin....thus Smiley. He was held for 5 days before he was allowed to go to a rescue group...but on the 5th day he was transferred to another shelter for another 5 days! Poor little Smiley was now in a shelter that has a high rate of illness, and was very sick when we first got him out, he couldn't even pick his little head up off the floor. Little Smiley struggled to pull through and had the will to live. His Foster Mommy kept a watchful eye on him, feeding him Pedialyte and baby food ...thankfully, he responded to his medicine and TLC and on the third day this little guy smiled again, for the first time in many days. He was clean, warm and most of all loved, and love can make the biggest difference of all to a throwaway dog. He is a very good, gentle, loving boy who does great with kids and other dogs and he just ignores the cats-they of course return the favor. He loves to hang out in the backyard and play with the other dogs, he is not aggressive at all and plays gently with them. Even the biggest of the pack knows Smiley is a gentle soul, so there are no fights over toys or food or anything else, he just has a special way about him. Smiley is a great kick back little guy and is doing excellent with his housebreaking. He is so happy and has grown stronger each day, and after all he has been through, he has left all the bad memories behind and is glad to be held and spoiled. Now all he needs is to find the forever family that will play with him and snuggle with him for many years to come.
