Sadie is a painting in Progress...She has come a long way from the starving emaciated puppy-mom that gave birth to 6 babies in a hardcore county shelter...her babies died on the cold cement floor two days after being born and she was sick, weak and a little bag of bones. She was not able to produce milk to feed the pups, she was so thin and weary and truely missed her babies...she was a very sad little girl. We were able to rescue her on her last day at the shelter and put her in boarding, frantically looking for a foster home that would fatten her up and heal her broken spirit...My friend opened her her heart and her home and took this little throwaway into her pack just like she has done for so many other little dogs that come out of this shelter..Sadie learned and grew into a beautiful spirit with her new companions, Simon and Sophie who have taught her how be be part of their loving pack. She is such a sweet, smart gal about 1 1/2yrs. old....she is very puppyish and playful with a lot of energy.. she loves to run and wrestle with other dogs...but most of all she is loyal , loves companionship and enjoys the quiet moments when she can cuddle with you. When she is happy she will give tiny nibbles on your ears to show how much she loves you.. Sadie is learning not to jump up and play bite and knows her sit command and will go into her crate if you ask her to "go to her house". She is good with her housetraining and does not chew things up or bark. Sadie would do wonderfully with another medium to large sized dog that also loves to play. She had done fine with Male and Female dogs we have introduced her to.....She LOVES Kyle (also listed on this site) and they are great friends and ride together in the back seat to adoption events.. Sadie loves chasing squirrels so no cats or small animals are advised. I have been introducing her to little dogs and puppies while she is on a leash and she is beginning to show less interest in them...Yesterday she met a little Lab puppy and Sadie bestowed her with endless wet kisses...I dont think she is mean, just very robust for pets smaller than her. She is a smart sensitive girl whose soft apricot/blue brindle coat turns heads wherever she goes.
