Princess is a gold German Shepherd mix and is about 4 years old. She was rescued from a shelter after being turned in by her owner. She gets along well with all other dogs and is great friends with her foster sister, Endora, a Doxie/Terrier mix. They spend hours chasing squirrels (they haven't caught any yet!) Princess loves to sit and watch them. Her foster brother, Oscar, a Weiner dog, has attacked her over a toy but she has such a great temperament that she ignores his petty tirades. Her teeth are worn down; we feel it may be due to boredom chewing on hard surfaces at her former home. If left outside for extended periods of time and alone, she may have developed this strange habit to entertain herself. Princess enjoys going for walks and LOVES playing catch-she’ll take the ball & roll around with it. She loves toys! She is fantastic in the house-completely housebroken, doesn't bark or dig or have any other bad habits. Her manners are great-she truly loves her meals & takes treats delicately. Her foster mom describes her as “delicate”, even though she is 75 pounds! During a recent visit by a friend’s 5-year-old, it was excitement & kisses. She does NOT jump up. Princess is also on her best behavior at the groomer. Her foster family already has three dogs or they would absolutely keep her for themselves, she’s that great of a dog. She is waiting for that special home where she can play and go for walks and hang out inside with her family-she has so much love to give!
