Sweet spirited Charlie AKA Mellow Yellow has survived a life that only a Human can bestow on a helpless animal....This sweet fellow roamed for months in the brush area of Castaic Lake, probably left behind by an owner who no longer wanted him. Many dogs that are dumped wait in the same spot for their owner to come back for them....many die hungry and alone because no one cares to take the time and rescue them. They loyally wait for someone they love who will never come back. A very kind senior lady made it her purpose to get Capone and give him the life he deserved. Capone has big scars on each side of his body that fit the imprint of a harness that may have caught on the brush or slid down and imbedded in his flesh. We can only imagine what he endured in the past but we can make sure that he is adopted into a loving caring family that will give him endless love and keep him safe. He has been in boarding for a year, along with another dog on our adoptions site, Delilah. Capone is very sociable and behaves well at all the adoptions events and dog parks. We don't think he likes cats but should be fine with most other dogs....he is good will kids and is very well behaved. He is fully vetted, chipped and just the right amount of energy to have fun with him...He rides well in the car and is devoted his human caretakers.
